Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Spring student-athletes got their wish. The NCAA Division I Council formally voted on eligibility for spring athletes, and the council voted to award a blanket waiver.

2. Prior to the announcement, student-athlete leaders from Power 5 conferences banded together to provide a list of recommendations to the NCAA. The joint statement ended with a poignant statement: “We are United as One.”

3. Staff writer Nelson Rice profiled Duke freshman Dyson Williams. Williams wears No. 51 to honor his younger brother, Tucker, who died in 2014 from Lymphoma.

4. The North Carolina men were off to their best start in five years, but the season’s abrupt end has caused the players to reflect. Head coach Joe Breschi has tried to keep it light, even texting back and forth with Maryland’s John Tillman to create a little fan fiction for their matchup that was scheduled for March 21.

5. Applications are now open for the 2021 U.S. women’s national team. Led by head coach Jenny Levy, the team will represent the country in the World Lacrosse Women’s World Championship from July 7-17, 2021, at Towson University.
