Syracuse’s No. 22 jersey has been linked to some of the best players in lacrosse history. After two seasons on the shelf, the Orange are bringing it back for Chase Scanlan.

Scanlan, who scored 43 goals as a second-team All-American midfielder at Loyola as a freshman, transferred to Syracuse over the summer. For our cover story this month, writer KJ Edelman and photographer Gavin Liddell spent some time with new No. 22, who says he finally feels at home.

Also in the November edition: a special health and fitness-themed Fuel section, a profile of Navy’s Kelly Larkin, MLL and PLL championship features and a story on why this bronze medal felt different (in a good way) for the U.S. indoor team.
